What is an AI trading assistant?
An AI trading assistant lets you operate your trading account through an AI conversation — placing orders, managing positions, and reading account data in plain language. ChelseaAI is ThinkMarkets' AI trading assistant, built on the open Model Context Protocol so it works with Claude and other MCP-compatible AI assistants.
Which AI assistants are supported?
ChelseaAI works with any MCP-compatible AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and others. We recommend Claude, as it's the lowest-friction option; a free Claude account can connect ChelseaAI and execute trades. Other major assistants require a paid tier for full trading access.
What can I do with an AI trading assistant?
Place market and pending orders, close positions in full or in part, set or modify stop loss, take profit and trailing stops, cancel pending orders, and view your balance, equity, margin, open and closed positions, prices, instrument details and historical price data.
Is AI trading safe with ChelseaAI?
ChelseaAI uses scoped, revocable permissions: read-only or full access. AI assistants never hold your account credentials, cannot move funds, and only act on your explicit instructions. Every action is recorded in your in-platform audit log for reconciliation.
Can AI place trades for me without my instruction?
No. Every action through ChelseaAI originates from an instruction you give in the conversation. Orders are not placed autonomously.
Can ChelseaAI move my funds?
No. ChelseaAI does not expose any fund movement capability. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers remain inside the platform under standard authentication.
Is ChelseaAI available on demo and live?
Yes — ChelseaAI is available on both demo and live accounts, on the ThinkTrader platform.
